Claire Hoy, a Concordia senior and student teacher at Scott Middle School in Békéscsaba, Hungary, discovered what happens when students are craving a snack.

Hoy was getting her seventh-grade class ready for their warm-up activity when one of her students yelled out with surprise.

She turned to see the student scratching his hair and pull out a piece of Nerds candy.

“Oh my gosh, please don’t…” Hoy started to say, but it was too late.

The student popped the candy in his mouth.

“He literally pulled candy out of his hair and ate it,” Hoy said.
