The Bulldogs got the win they have been looking for in Wednesday night’s matchup against rival Hastings College as the Bulldogs beat the Broncos in a close game 78-76.

The Bulldogs finally got their momentum rolling after the two GPAC losses against Midland and Morningside earlier last week. The Jan. 25 game against Hastings was a different story.

With senior Chandler Folkerts’ three fouls before the second half began, some of the other starters knew they needed to step up in order to pull through with the win. That’s just what senior Seth Curran did. Curran scored 19 points and six assists. Curran was on fire, scoring six 3-pointers for the Bulldogs.

Another star performance came from senior Eli Ziegler, who scored 17 points for Concordia. Other key efforts from senior Chris Johnstone (10 points) and freshman Jake Hornick (10 points) were helpful in the win.

Now that they have beaten Hastings, the Bulldogs look forward to hosting the Concordia Invitational Tournament (CIT) at home this weekend. The Bulldogs will face Concordia Chicago at 8 p.m. on Friday night. The Bulldogs are looking for a repeat of last year, when they won CIT.
