  1. CATTLE CLASSIC: Concordia University hosted the 18th Annual Cattle Classic basketball tournament, with teams visiting from four different states. The tournament raised canned food in conjunction with local Seward businesses.
  2. MEN”S BASKETBALL: The Bulldog basketball program has a 3-0 record after the Cattle Classic with a close victory over Evangel University on Saturday. Sophomore Jake Hornick is leading the team in scoring with an average of 20.0 points per game.
  3. WOMEN’S BASKETBALL: The Concordia women defeated St. Francis and Viterbo at the Cattle Classic Friday and Saturday with junior Quinn Wragge and freshman Taylor Cockerill earning All-Tournament recognition.
  4. FOOTBALL: The Bulldogs beat Briar Cliff in Sioux City on Saturday 35-7 to advance to 6-3 on the season. Senior Jared Garcia broke the single season rushing record with 2,476 yards on the year.
  5. CROSS COUNTRY: The Concordia cross country team competed in the GPAC Championship on Saturday at Dordt College. The women’s team placed 5th overall, and the men’s team placed sixth. Senior Emily Deschaine placed 6th as an individual and may receive an invitation to compete at NAIA Cross Country Nationals to be held in Washington state.
  6. VOLLEYBALL: The Bulldogs ended their season in a three set sweep against Hastings College. The Bulldogs finished their season in the first round of the GPAC Tournament, with a 9-19 record.
  7. MEN”S SOCCER: After a 2-1 road victory against Northwestern in the GPAC semi-finals, the Bulldogs will play in the GPAC Championship on Thursday, Nov. 9. Concordia will match-up against Hastings for a road match at 7 p.m.
  8. WOMEN”S SOCCER: The Bulldogs are set to host the GPAC semifinals on Tuesday, Nov. 7 against Northwestern College at 7p.m. The last game between the two teams ended in a regular season tie.
  9. TRAP AND SKEET: The Concordia Trap and Skeet team ended their fall season at the ACUI Upper Midwest Conference Championships in Grand Island on Saturday, Nov. 4. Competition will continue in the spring for the team.

  10. WRESTLING: Competing at Baker University, the wrestling team had three individual titles from Cameron Devers, Jon Lado, and Giovanni Castillo. Four other wrestlers placed at the Bake University Open.
