Home Sports Men’s Tennis Earns Four Singles, Two Doubles Victories over Tabor

Concordia men’s tennis played on Saturday afternoon against Tabor College and won 6-3 in the Abbott Sports Complex in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Concordia is now on a two-match winning streak. Coach Joel Reckeway’s squad won four games out of six in singles play. Senior Javier Moreno won in two sets (6-0, 6-4). Sophomore Gabe Poling also won in two sets (6-1, 6-0). Freshman Lucas Zoller won (6-1, 6-3) and freshman Josh Miller rounded out singles play with a victory over Jeff Pritchard from Tabor College (6-4, 6-2).

In doubles play, the duo of Moreno and Poling won 8-4 over Angel Miguel and Francisco Gallinal from Tabor. Senior Patricio Esquivel and Freshman Josh Miller teamed up for a win over Jamie Sanchez and Jeff Pritchard from Tabor, 8-2.

Concordia is now 2-5 overall on the 2017 season.

The Bulldogs now return to the Fieldhouse to take on Kansas Wesleyan University. The first serve is set for 10 a.m. on Friday, March 3.
