Concordia lost 3-1 against the University of Jamestown on Friday in four sets scored 25-11, 26-24, 27-25, and 25-16. Concordia came into the game ranked sixth in the nation, but were only able to win the second set of the contest against the second-ranked Jimmies.

Concordia won a close second set after Jamestown rallied with four straight points. The victory ultimately came from a service ace by sophomore Cassidy Knust, evening the sets at one apiece. The Bulldogs were unable to ride the momentum and Jamestown closed out the next two sets for the win.

In the bout against the Jimmies sophomore Carly Rodoway tallied 14 kills. Defensively, sophomore Rebecca Gebhardt was all over the court as she collected 22 digs. Offensively though, the Bulldogs struggled, as their best set hitting-wise was .149 in the third set. Jamestown applied pressure all night as they finished two sets hitting above .400.

The Bulldogs’ record on the season is 16-2 with a 7-2 record against Great Plains Athletic Conference opponents. On the road back from Jamestown the Bulldogs will stop in South Dakota to take on Dakota Wesleyan this Saturday.
