The Bulldog softball team was able to win both games in a double header against Benedictine College on Feb. 23, scoring 6-4 in the first game and 3-2 in the second game.

The pitcher for the Bulldogs in the first game was sophomore Camry Moore.  She took control of the game finishing with a career high 15 strikeouts and recorded a homerun as well.

It was a tight game one, up until Moore hit her homerun in the fourth inning to open up the scoring for the Bulldogs.  Later in the sixth inning, the Bulldogs were able to drive in two runs as junior Tori Homolka hit a double to drive in the runs.  In the seventh inning, junior Hhana Haro was also able to bring in two runs with her single and a little help from a Benedictine error.

The tensions were high in game two as the Ravens and Bulldogs fought into extra innings.  In the seventh inning, the Ravens were able to snatch two runs to force extra innings.  In the top of the eighth inning, sophomore Kylee Nixon sent a homerun into the seats, giving the Bulldogs a 3-2 edge going into the bottom of the eighth.

Camry Moore stepped up big in the bottom of the eighth as she was able to hold two Ravens runners on base and getting her 16th strikeout of the day.

The pitcher for game two for the Bulldogs was freshman Jerzi Rowe, making her debut for Concordia.  Rowe pitched 7.1 innings recording 8 hits, 2 walks, and 9 strikeouts.

Next up for the Bulldogs is another double header against Bethany College on Feb. 28 in Atchison, KS.  Game one will begin at 1 p.m. with game two starting at approximately 3 p.m.  Fans are allowed and are required to wear masks and social distance.
