The Bulldog football team battled through not one but two weather delays in their 38-27 loss at Hastings College on Saturday. Trailing 21-0 at halftime, they pulled the game closer towards the end and scored all 27 of their points in the final quarter.
Grad student quarterback Gideon Stark threw for 465 yards on 56 attempts to go along with three touchdowns and no interceptions. The Bulldogs found all their success in the passing game as they finished the game with a total of negative 11 rushing yards as a team.
Grad student Adam Van Cleave had 12 receptions and 149 yards, and senior receiver Collin Fritton had 143 yards on just nine receptions.
The Broncos from Hastings College dominated the run game with 270 yards, and their defense was stout as they had four sacks as a team and forced two fumbles.
Concordia continues their season next week at home for their homecoming game as they welcome the Mount Marty Lancers to Seward. Last time the two met, Concordia came away with a win, 52-43.
