Concordia men’s soccer took home the GPAC regular season title this weekend for the first time in the history of the program after a 15-0 shutout over Waldorf University. The win was their ninth straight and kept them in first place in the Great Plains Athletic Conference with an 8-0 conference record.
The win against the Waldorf Warriors secured Concordia the GPAC regular season title, the first time Concordia men’s soccer has ever achieved the title.
The Bulldogs played Waldorf in Forest City, Iowa, where they established dominance early on in the game with a goal only 7:29 into the first half. This control of the game continued as Concordia put up 31 shots on goal, a stark contrast to Waldorf’s 2. Eleven different Concordia players scored in the game, with four of them putting up a pair of goals.
With only two games left in the Bulldogs’ regular season, Concordia’s next game will be at home on Oct. 24 against Northwestern at 3:30 pm.
