Concordia University, Nebraska, made a statement with a dominant 103-66 victory over Judson University (Illinois), delivering an impressive offensive performance. The Bulldogs surpassed the 100-point mark, had five players score at least nine points, and displayed outstanding efficiency from the field, particularly from beyond the three-point line.

Senior Brooks Kissinger led all scorers with 26 points, adding nine rebounds and three steals. Junior Dane Jacobsen also delivered an outstanding performance, finishing with 24 points while knocking down six of his seven attempts from three-point range.

The Bulldogs established control early, taking a 48-30 lead into halftime. Concordia continued to extend its advantage in the second half, outscoring Judson 55-36 to secure the 37-point victory.

Offensive efficiency was the biggest difference between the two teams. Concordia shot 57.8% from the field and an impressive 48.1% from three-point range, making 13 of 27 attempts. The Bulldogs also recorded 25 assists compared to Judson’s 16 and dominated the rebounding battle, 40-28.

Kissinger, from Ashland, Nebraska, entered the 2026-27 season as one of the key players on the Bulldogs’ roster. After earning First Team All-GPAC honors in 2025-26, he continued to demonstrate his scoring ability, shooting 10-for-13 from the field against Judson.

Jacobsen, also from Ashland, Nebraska, was another major contributor. The guard finished with 24 points in just 23 minutes, shooting an impressive 6-7 from beyond the arc. He previously earned Second Team All-GPAC recognition after averaging 13.3 points and 3.6 assists per game last season. The Ashland duo capped off a strong tournament by earning spots on the Cattle Classic All-Tournament Team.

Kissinger’s performance carries additional significance as he was selected as the 2026-27 GPAC Preseason Player of the Year, further highlighting the expectations surrounding the Bulldogs this season. Concordia was also picked as the preseason favorite to win the Great Plains Athletic Conference and entered the season ranked No. 19 in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics.

Sophomore Garret Johnson added nine points, all from three-point range, while senior Hayden Frank contributed nine points and a team-high five assists. Senior Jaxon Stueve also helped facilitate the offense with four assists.

The victory reinforces the offensive potential of a Concordia team entering the season with high expectations. With Kissinger and Jacobsen leading the way and contributions coming from throughout the roster, the Bulldogs have shown they can be a dangerous team as they pursue their goals in the GPAC.

The next match is a home game against Ottawa University on Nov. 10 at 7 p.m.
