The Bulldogs were able to extend their two-run lead after the first three innings to six after an explosive four-run fourth inning. In the bottom of the ninth the Bulldogs struggled to close out the game, walking six Lancers. However, the Bulldogs struck out the final batter to win the game 12-6.
