Concordia women’s basketball kept its undefeated season rolling with an 89–59 victory over Doane, using a blistering first half to take full control of the game. The Bulldogs poured in 56 points before halftime, knocking down 16 threes and sharing the ball with ease as 23 of their 31 field goals came off assists.
Junior Sammy Leu helped set the pace early with 11 points and five assists, while freshman Ayla Roth added 10 points and sophomore Abbie Kromarek provided a major spark off the bench with 15.
The Bulldogs also maintained their defensive pressure, forcing 17 turnovers and holding Doane to just 38 points over the first three quarters.
Coach Drew Olson said he was pleased with how his team handled the matchup, explaining that their offensive rhythm and defensive intensity never really dipped.
“I thought we played really well,” Olson said. “We shot really well in the first half, but our defense was really solid throughout the whole game.”
With the win, Concordia moves to 9-0 overall and 5-0 in the Great Plains Athletic Conference. They will have a short break and will be back to host Dakota Wesleyan University on Saturday, Dec. 6.
