Concordia’s women’s basketball team defeated the Northwestern College Red Raiders in the NAIA semifinals with a score of 82-79.

The Bulldogs started the game with a lead, which they kept throughout the first half. They let 41-27 at halftime.

During the second half of the game, the Red Raiders pursued the Bulldogs in attempt to reduce and eliminate their lead, moving the score to 53-51 at the end of the third quarter, with the Bulldogs in the lead.

The Red Raiders took the lead as soon as the fourth quarter started, but the Bulldogs were quick to take it back. The fourth quarter featured multiple changes in the leader as the teams were locked in a neck-and-neck race to the championship game.

With one minute left in the game, the Bulldogs took the lead one last time as they made their way to the final buzzer with a score of 82-79.

Concordia will compete in the NAIA Championship game Tuesday, March 12 at 7:05 in Sioux City, Iowa. They will go against either Dakota Wesleyan University (South Dakota) or Southeastern University (Florida).
