Home Sports Bulldogs Take Down Tigers

The Concordia volleyball team had no problem defeating No. 24 Doane College in Crete on Wednesday, Sept. 16. The Bulldogs swept Doane 25-20, 25-19 and 25-15 to improve to 12-3 and 2-0 in GPAC.

Sophomore Annie Friesen and juniors Paige Getz and Tiegen Skains led the way for the Bulldogs with 10 kills each.
Concordia’s powerful offense outhit the Tigers .268 to .035 for the match.
Junior Alayna Kavanaugh continued to play well and assisted on 37 of the Bulldogs kills.
With the win, the team picked up its third straight win against the Tigers.
The Bulldogs will continue their road trip to Omaha to take on College of Saint Mary on Saturday, Sept. 19. This will be the first game in which the schools are in the same conference as this is the first season that College of Saint Mary is a member of the GPAC.
