Home Sports Bulldogs Take Two in Omaha

Concordia’s volleyball team visited Omaha on Saturday, Sept. 19 where the Bulldogs defeated both College of Saint Mary and Waldorf College (Iowa) to improve to 14-3 overall and 3-0 in GPAC.

The Bulldogs took on conference foe College of Saint Mary in their first game of the day.

Concordia’s hot start sparked a four-set victory over the Flames 25-13, 21-25, 25-21 and 25-19.

Sophomore Annie Friesen led the Bulldogs in kills with 14. Juniors Paige Getz and Tiegen Skains and senior Claire White also had double figure kills with 11, 11 and 10 respectively.

In game two the Bulldogs had no problem dismantling Waldorf College in straight sets 25-16, 25-8 and 25-9.

Concordia’s next action will be at 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 23 as the Bulldogs host No. 4 Midland.
