The Concordia University dance and cheer teams competed in the Dordt University Cheer and Dance Invite in Sioux Center, Iowa Saturday afternoon.

The dance team performed first and placed fourth with a score of 84.23. This is the second-highest score the team has received and the sixth score in the 80s for the season. While the dance team did not break the top three, the only team in the Great Plains Athletic Conference to beat them was Morningside University, who won second with a score of 84.93. The other two teams were St. Ambrose University and Viterbo University, who won third and first respectively.

The cheer team won second in the invite with a season high score of 82.38. The team narrowly beat their previous high of 82.03 received at the York University Invite on Feb. 10. The cheer team came behind Midland University, who scored an astonishing 92.03.

The next competition for both cheer and dance is the GPAC Championship meet on Feb. 24-25 in Crete. Both teams come into the competition looking strong with their best seasons in program history.
