Home Sports Concordia Baseball Extends Win Streak to Six

by Garrett Suchanek

Friday marked the final day of baseball in Arizona for the Concordia baseball team, who extended its winning streak to six with a pair of wins over Dakota State.

Concordia now sits at 12-10 on the year after winning 7-4 and 7-2 over the Trojans.

Junior Christian Montero highlighted the day for the Bulldogs with a pair of home runs. In game one Concordia needed offense late to gain a 7-4 lead in the seventh inning. Going into the seventh, the Bulldogs were knotted at 4 apiece.

In game two the Trojans struck early, but that was all as the Bulldogs’ pitchers silenced their bats the rest of the game. Concordia went on to score seven runs for the 7-2 win.

Concordia will have a short turnaround as they will travel to Tabor College for a doubleheader on March 15. First pitch is set for 1 p.m.
