Concordia soccer bested by No. 4 William Penn

The Concordia men’s soccer team had a difficult away loss against No. 4 William Penn University on Saturday, September 5th, with a final score of 2-0 in favor of the home team.
Despite a scoreless first half for both teams, William Penn came back from halftime to score twice on Concordia, a feat that the Bulldogs were not able to match. William Penn outshot Concordia 19-13.
It was a scrappy game with 23 total fouls, seven for Concordia and 16 for William Penn. The hosts were also on the receiving end of most yellow cards, earning eight of 11.
Concordia will hope to add a win to their record with another away game in Iowa on Monday, September 7th against defending national champions, No. 17 Grand View University.
