Men’s golf earns fifth-place finish in season opener

The Concordia men’s golf team began the 2026-2027 season with a fifth-place finish at the two-day Mount Marty Invite, at the Fox Run Golf Course and Hillcrest Country Club.
Ten Concordia golfers competed against sixty-four other participants from seven other schools. Concordia’s highest scorers were sophomore Calvin Zabloudil from Concordia’s A team, who tied for third individually (a collegiate career best for Zabloudil) with a total of 145, and B team sophomore Logan Krabbenhoft, who placed thirteenth with a total of 152.
The A team shot 301-314-615 at the Invite, consisting of Zabloudil, senior Jude Elgert, sophomore Tyler Weismann, sophomore Michael Koenig and freshman Wyatt Groves. Elgert and Weisman tied for twentieth with identical scores.
Concordia’s B team shot 316-317-633 and placed ninth with a roster of Krabbenhoft, senior Jacob Dowd, freshman Dalton Kumm, sophomore Kamden Zomer and sophomore Charlie Summy.
The season continues for Concordia as they co-host the Blue River Classic this month at Highlands Golf Course in Lincoln, Nebraska, over September 9-10.
