The Concordia volleyball team cruised past Langston University Friday night for their second win of the season. They swept Langston and won by significant margins in all three sets.

The Bulldogs won the first set 25-7. The ladies started hot with an 8-0 run and never looked back. The second set saw much of the same, as Concordia pulled ahead on a 14-2 run and again never faltered. The third set was also 25-7 as the Bulldogs put on a spiking clinic all night.

The team tallied 40 kills over just three sets. Junior Gabi Nordaker and sophomore Ashley Keck led the team with 10 kills apiece. Senior Bree Burtwistle led the team in assists, totaling 19 of the team’s 32. Junior Rebecca Gebhardt and senior Cameryn Opfer led the team in digs with nine and seven respectively.

The Bulldogs are now 2-0 overall and they will face MidAmerica Nazarene University on Saturday, August 26 at Friedrich Arena in Seward.
