Home Sports Junior Amy Ahlers Earns All-GPAC Honors with Third Place Golf Finish

The Concordia women’s golf team finished the season in the top half of the team standings and were led by All-GPAC performer junior Amy Ahlers at the final GPAC event hosted Monday, May 2 by Dakota Wesleyan University.

Concordia finished sixth out of 12 teams, shooting a 348 on the day. Throughout the four tournaments, the Bulldogs scored a 354-348-379-348-1,429. Host school Dakota Wesleyan claimed the GPAC title for the eighth straight year.

After starting the day well, the Bulldogs hung on to claim sixth place in the second half of the tournament. Ahlers finished third overall in the conference and shot a 79 on the day. She combined 84-82-81-79 throughout the season to claim third. Sophomore Kayla Krueger finished 12th overall with scores of 83-87-88-84-342 throughout the qualifiers. The third best Bulldog was sophomore Ashlen Pospisil, who tallied a 26th place finish from a combined 364 (97-93-83-91).

The Bulldogs have zero seniors on their seven person squad as they look to the 2016-2017 season.
