The bulldogs defense was also effective in today’s game as DWU only had seven first downs and three fourth-down turnovers. CUNE Linebackers Caydren Cox and Jorge Ochoa each had a sack on Dakota Wesleyan’s quarterback Kiel Nelson.

When asked about what went best in this game, QB DJ McGarvie said that the entire team played well.

“It was a team effort all around,” McGarvie said. “The linemen did great, the wide receivers did great, the running backs did great and the defense was amazing again.”

Concordia plays next at the University of Jamestown (2-1) next week at 1 p.m.
