The Concordia men’s soccer team defeated the University of Jamestown Jimmies Saturday night. The cold weather did not have an impact on the Bulldogs, as they won 6-0.

The first half saw an offensive explosion from the Bulldogs, and they went into the half up 4-0. Senior Dominic Abdel-Ahad scored the opening goal at the eight minute mark. Junior Matt Shulz then scored in the 14th minute. Abdel-Ahad quickly followed that up with his second goal just one minute later. The last goal of the half came on a great header from junior Max Bissinger at the 41st minute.

The second half saw another impressive performance from Concordia. Freshman Adrian Wambua scored his first goal at the 52 minute mark in the second half. Fellow freshman Miguel Navarro scored the only other goal of the half at the 68 minute mark. The Bulldog defense was fantastic all night, with only four shots on the goal allowed, and sophomore goalie Frederico Andrea Simonetti did not let any of those shots get past him.

The Concordia Bulldogs are now 10-2-1 overall and 5-2-1 in the Great Plains Athletic Conference. They will play again Oct. 15 against Hastings college in Bulldog stadium.
