The Concordia women’s soccer team defeated the College of Saint Mary’s Flames 1-0 Wednesday afternoon. This contest saw a defensive struggle between both teams.

 

The match was not only low-scoring, but also saw very few shots on the goal from either team. The Bulldogs had six total shots on the goal and 10 shots hit total. The flames hit 13 shots, but only had four shots on the goal attempted. The only goal of the afternoon came at minute 53 from freshman Niah Kirchner. The goal was assisted by junior Lisa McClain.

 

The Bulldogs are now 8-3-2 overall and 3-3-2 in the Great Plains Athletic Conference. Concordia will play Oct. 15 against Hastings College at Bulldogs Stadium.
