For the second night in a row, the No. 14 Concordia women’s basketball team took the court and came out victorious. The Bulldogs had no problems defeating York College in a 111-65 blowout. The win improved Concordia to 6-3 overall and 3-3 in GPAC.

After a slow start by both teams, Concordia took the initiative to do damage first. The Bulldogs scored 10 points in just over a minute to gain a 10-0 lead with just over seven minutes left in the first quarter.

As the first quarter progressed, the Bulldogs continued to shoot well and went into the second quarter with a 30-13 lead.

In the second quarter Concordia continued to score a flurry of buckets to extend its lead. At halftime the Bulldogs led 60-34.

The second half proved to be more of the same as the Bulldogs outscored the Panthers 51-31 on their way to a 111-65 final.

Concordia had a balanced attack on the night as all 14 players who suited up scored. The Bulldogs were paced by freshman Quinn Wragge who finished the night with 20 points. Juniors Devin Edwards, Erin Vieselmeyer and Carissa Gutz all totaled double figures on the night with 14, 12 and 11 points respectively.

The Bulldogs will be back in action at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 12 when they take on Mount Marty College in Walz Arena.
