by Garrett Suchanek

Friday was a busy day for the No. 9 Concordia Bulldogs wrestling program as they had three duals, all against top-10 teams.

The Bulldog’ lone win of the day came against No. 8 Great Falls 19-16 while the two losses came to No. 5 Montana State University-Northern 25-16 and No. 4 Oklahoma City 20-17. Concordia now sits at 4-2 overall and 2-0 in GPAC.

Sophomore Andrew Schulte went 3-0 on the day and contributed to 11 points from his three matches for the Bulldogs. Junior Jr. Lule, freshman Travian Cooke, senior Matt Atwood, junior Ken Burkhardt and junior Ceron Francisco all collected two wins on the day.

Concordia’s top-three weights (125, 133 and 141) struggled on the day and failed to pick up a win on the day.

The Bulldogs’ next competition is the Viking Warrior Open on Jan. 2 in Fremont.
