Home News Sophomore Tailgate Creates Important Bonds

by Stephanie Coley
Concordia’s annual sophomore tailgate took place on the soccer fields Saturday, Sept. 12 before the first home football game of the season.
The sophomore tailgate allows the sophomore class to come together in fellowship over burgers and hot dogs.
“This event creates an incomparable energy,” sophomore Abby Schellpfeffer said.
The tailgate brings the sophomore community together to create friendships and bonds.
“It’s a good bonding experience,“ sophomore Tyler Raabe said.
The event also provides an opportunity for the professors to get to know sophomore students better.
“I think we have an unfortunate habit of ignoring sophomores,” Dr. Bernard Tonjes said. “When you get together good people and good food, people become good friends.”
