Saturday’s Sophomore Tailgate event welcomed sophomores back to campus with food and activities.
Professor of Music Dr. Kurt von Kampen and Professor of Physics Dr. Brent Royuk were the emcees for the event. They played games with the sophomores, one of which was How Well Do You Know Your Roommate. This game is a tradition and a favorite of many to watch.
Sophomores ate hamburgers and hotdogs, and endless cookies and drinks. Professors also gave out prizes for winning games, and everyone received a sophomore tailgate shirt. The tailgate brought many laughs and good fellowship.
Sophomores are enjoying their second year at Concordia and the perks that come with it.

A year of experience makes general knowledge of campus automatic for sophomores.
“[You] don’t have to look at your map to get across campus,” sophomore Erin Mapson said.
