Home Sports Bulldogs’ Baseball Split a Pair vs. Braves

by Matthew Goedeken

Concordia’s baseball team traveled to Ottawa, Kansas, on Saturday, Feb. 27, to play a doubleheader against the Ottawa University Braves. The series ended in a split with both teams taking one game. Concordia lost the first game 5-4 but took the second game 15-8. The Bulldogs moved to 3-7 on the season.

The highlight of the win was a two-inning blast of offense scoring 10 runs. Taylor Bigandt hit two home runs in the game, one in the first and the other in the second inning. The Bulldog’s bats were hot right away as they took an early 6-2 lead. From that point, the Bulldogs continued to score runs and scored three runs in the final inning.

The Bulldogs will return to action Feb. 28 to finish up a four-game series with Ottawa.
