Second ranked Concordia women’s basketball team took on seventeenth ranked Indiana Tech and won 68-57.

The game was played at St. Francis High School in Honolulu, Hawaii. The game was a part of the inaugural Hoops N Surf classic.

The team flew from Omaha in the early hours of Saturday, Dec. 17 in two separate planes and ended up in paradise late that same night. It was a whirlwind of travel that consisted of three different planes to catch and waits in airports.

Two Bulldogs reached double-doubles.  Freshman forward Philomena Lammers had a 14 point, 12 rebound performance and sophomore forward Quinn Wragge had 12 points and 10 rebounds.

Lammers and Wragge helped the Bulldogs to finish one of their smallest win margins of the seasons. This season, the Bulldogs have been victorious with 20-30 point win margins.

Indiana Tech guard Keana Gary led the way for the Warriors with 19 points. However, junior guard Mary Janovich combatted with 16 points and senior guard Shelby Quinn added nine points.

The Bulldogs have one more game in the Hoops N Surf Classic before they begin some tourist activities such as snorkeling and hiking on the island. They will face off against College of the Ozarks on Tuesday, Dec. 9 in Honolulu. Tip-off is at 4:30 p.m (central time zone).
