Home Sports Concordia Baseball Sweeps Swedes on Day Two

The Concordia baseball team continued its series against the Bethany College Swedes on Sunday, Feb. 14 with another doubleheader and took both games, scoring a combined total of 19 runs on 18 hits.

In game one, Concordia scored 13 runs for a 13-2 victory. In game two, the Bulldogs had a five-run fourth inning to claim a 6-3 win.

Not only were the bats hot, but Concordia’s starting pitcher for the first game Neil Ryan only allowed one hit and struck out four batters.

The Bulldogs were also able to draw walks and got 21 batters on base.

The Bulldogs (2-2) will face the Warriors of No. 20 Sterling College (6-0) on Friday, Feb. 19.
