On a cold morning in Ashland, Nebraska, five Concordia runners earned All-GPAC honors at the Great Plains Athletic Conference cross country meet on Saturday, Nov. 8, with two breaking into the top five.
2024 All-American and defending GPAC champion sophomore Vaughn Hendrickson nearly defended his title, but settled for third with a 24:52.77 in the 8k race.
Sophomore Keeli Green was the top performer on the women’s side as she placed fourth in the 6k with a 21:48.15.
Junior Trey Robertson was the runner-up at last year’s GPAC meet and retained his all-conference honors with an 11th-place finish. Senior Trevor Kuncl placed 13th, and junior Aidan Limback came in 15th.
Only the top team on the men’s side gets an automatic bid to the NAIA National Cross Country Meet. Doane came in first, then Dordt, and then Concordia. Concordia would need an at-large bid to get to nationals as a team. Individually, the top four finishers who do not make it with their team qualify.
The Concordia women placed fifth, so Green is the only runner on the women’s team who will qualify for the national meet.
The national meet will conclude the 2025 cross country season. It will take place on Nov. 21 in Tallahassee, Florida.
