Concordia Football Defeats Dakota Wesleyan

The Concordia football team started with an offensive burst to secure a 14-9 win against Dakota Wesleyan in a home matchup on Oct. 6. The Bulldogs scored 14 points in the first quarter, finishing the game at 14-9. Dakota Wesleyan scored a field goal in the second quarter and a touchdown in the fourth quarter.
Freshman Garrett Schardt scored first for the Bulldogs with an 82 yard pass from junior Andrew Perea. Junior Ryan Durdon scored the other touchdown on a 31 yard run. Concordia had 330 yards of total offense on the day. Durdon led the team with 85 rushing yards, and Schardt had 105 receiving yards.
The Bulldogs now stand at 3-2 on the season and will play their next game in Sioux City against Briar Cliff on Oct. 13.
