Concordia rallies late to defeat Doane 2-1 in regular season finale

The Concordia women’s soccer team closed its regular season with a thrilling 2-1 comeback win over Doane on Wednesday night.
The Bulldogs controlled possession throughout the match, outshooting Doane 19-2.
After a scoreless first half, Concordia found itself trailing 1-0 midway through the second. Junior forward Kierstynn Garner responded with back-to-back goals in the 81st and 89th minutes, lifting the Bulldogs to victory and securing the No. 2 seed in the Great Plains Athletic Conference Play-In Tournament.
Concordia will open its Great Plains Athletic tournament at home against the College of Saint Mary on Nov. 4.
