Concordia Volleyball Upset in First Lost
Peru State College faced off with Concordia’s volleyball team Aug. 22 in Walz Arena and took the match in three straight sets. The 25-17, 25-21, 26-24 win was the fourth this year for the Peru State Bobcats. The Bulldogs were close to winning the third set up 24-23, but Peru State came back with three straight points to end the match.
The Bulldogs, now 1-1 on the year, were led by senior Tiegen Skains and senior Alayna Kavanaugh. Skains recorded 13 kills on the night while Kavanaugh recorded 27 digs and 13 assists.
The Bulldogs will return to action Aug. 26 in Butte Montana for a tournament at Montana Tech. Concordiawill start off the tournament against the University of Great Falls.
