The Concordia Bulldogs wrestling team traveled to Marshall, Missouri for the highly anticipated Missouri Valley Invite. This invite is the first look at the national competition for the Bulldogs to see how they stack up against other wrestlers across the country.

Concordia placed 35th out of 43 teams total with 16.5 points. Junior Creighton Baughman had the most points for the team with four and won three of his five matches. Sophomore Tommy Wentz also added three and a half points to the team total and won four of his six matches. Fellow sophomore Jeaven Scdoris and freshman Logan Davidson added three points apiece to the team total. Senior Issiah Burks added another point to the team total, along with juniors Tavoris Smith and Jose Sanchez. Other wrestlers included freshmen Bryce Karlin and Cy Renney as well as junior Stephen Duffy and sophomore Kyle Sterup. Sterup was a defensive lineman for the Concordia football team and wrestled for the first time collegiately this weekend.

The Bulldogs now turn their attention to three duals set for Jan. 28 against Briar Cliff University, Northwestern College, and the University of Jamestown. These duals will be held in Sioux City, Iowa at the Long Lines Family Rec Center.
