The Concordia men’s tennis team took the court on Thursday afternoon in Crete for a matchup with Doane College and fell 4-5 to the Tigers. The Bulldogs fall to 6-8 overall and 0-2 in GPAC.

Concordia led the match 2-1 after doubles competition as the team of freshman Willy Pardos and junior Javier Moreno and the team of freshman Gabriel Poling and junior Philip Yox both won their matches. Pardos and Moreno won 9-8 (7-5) while Poling and Yox won 8-5.

In singles competition, Doane rallied and claimed four of the six matches to win the match 5-4. The two winners of singles matches for the Bulldogs were Pardos and Poling. Pardos won in straight sets 6-2 and 6-2 while Poling won in three sets 6-7 (2-7), 6-2 and 10-4.

The Bulldogs will look to return to its winning ways when they host Nebraska Wesleyan on Wednesday, April 13. First serve is set for 4 p.m.
