Madison Pitsch, a former co-managing editor of The Sower and now a TV anchor at 10/11 News in Lincoln, will receive Concordia’s Young Alumnus of the Year Award during a ceremony that is part of Concordia’s Homecoming festivities during the weekend of September 19-20.

Pitsch graduated from Concordia in 2019 and also was a staff writer for The Sower in print and online.

“As a co-managing editor, I mostly worked on developing stories and a lot of editing of those stories, and putting together the newspaper,” said Pitsch. “My favorite part was actually helping deliver the newspaper. I also worked as a Staff writer for one or two years before that.”

Pitsch said she is honored to receive the award. “I think there are a lot of people who also fit the bill for Alumnus of the Year,” said Pitsch.

“I’m really grateful for my time at Concordia, and I wouldn’t be where I am if I wasn’t a Bulldog for those four years.”
The Young Alumnus Award is presented yearly by the Concordia Alumni Association to an alumnus who graduated in the past 15 years and has made a substantial contribution to their community, church and world.
