Seward received 6.5 inches of rain yesterday (Source: 10/11 News Lincoln), and as a result Plum Creek and Lincoln Creek are flooded, with parts of Plum Creek Trail underwater.

Seward City clerk Derek Bargmann said the flooding is at the lowest flood stage, but the city is monitoring the situation.

“Some of the lowland areas around town are experiencing flooding,” said Bargmann. “The creeks and bridges we are monitoring.  We did experience action stage flooding in Plum Creek and Lincoln Creek. It could reach minor stage sometime today into tomorrow.”

This is a developing story and will be updated as new information becomes available.
