Home News Jackson Einspahr Honored at Basketball Games

by Jacy Johnston

Wednesday, Nov. 14’s games were special for the Concordia men’s and women’s basketball teams, but the highlight of the night wasn’t on the court: it was the honoring of 11-year-old Jackson Einspahr.

Einspahr was recently diagnosed with cancer and has been undergoing chemotherapy treatment throughout the last few months. Kregg Einspahr, Einspahr’s father, is Concordia’s former head track and field coach and current professor in the science department.

In honor of Jackson Einspahr, the basketball teams and fans bought and wore shirts to celebrate “Jackson’s Journey.” During halftime of the women’s game, all of the fans present waved to Jackson Einspahr, who was watching the game from home.
