The Concordia Bulldogs Men’s Golf team didn’t have to travel far for this year’s Blue River Classic at the Highlands Golf Club in Lincoln, Nebraska. Concordia’s A team finished the tournament in 10th place with scores of 313-295-298, while the B team finished in 13th, getting better each day and scoring 310-309-308. The Bulldogs C team finished in 15th place with scores of 332-319-321.

Sophomore Tyler Weismann impressed throughout the tournament, shooting a total score of 225 through three rounds (79-71-75). He finished T40 out of all the golfers in the tournament and was the highest placer for the Bulldogs. Another sophomore, Calvin Zabloudil, finished not too far behind Weismann at T45 with a score of 227. Senior Jacob Dowd was the third Bulldog in the top 50 with a score of 229. Senior Jude Elgert and sophomore Kamden Zomer were just outside the top 50 at T52, with the pair both shooting 232. Zomer was the leader for the B team at 52nd, but not too far behind him was freshman Dalton Kumm, who finished T56.

The Bulldogs continued to compete hard throughout the three rounds, with several golfers improving their scores as the tournament went on. The Concordia men’s golf team’s next outing will be next week as they head to Iowa for the Siouxland Men’s Invite on Sept.14-15.
