Morningside Downs Concordia’s Men’s Tennis 7-2

Saturday afternoon the Concordia men’s tennis team played in its first match since March 11 and lost to Morningside College 7-2.
The loss drops the Bulldogs to 6-7 overall and 0-1 in the GPAC.
In doubles competition the No. 1 doubles team of freshman Willy Pardos and junior Javier Moreno claimed the only win for the Bulldogs. Pardos and Moreno won 8-6.
In singles play the only Concordia win came in the No. 1 singles spot, which was filled by Pardos. Pardos won in straight sets 6-2 and 6-0.
Both Moreno and freshman Gabriel Poling came close to winning, but fell in three sets. Moreno lost 6-2, 3-6 and 10-2, while Poling lost 3-6, 7-5 and 10-4.
The Bulldogs will be back in action on Thursday, April 7 when Concordia travels to Doane College. First serve is set for 4 p.m.
