The No. 20 Concordia volleyball team rallied after dropping the first set to win in four over No. 17 Northwestern College on Saturday, Nov. 7.

Concordia improved to 25-7 on the year after winning in four sets 13-25, 25-21, 25-22 and 25-21.

The Bulldogs had a slow start to the match, but heated up their offense starting in the second set when Concordia outhit the Red Raiders .212 to .194.

However, as the match continued, the Bulldog offense was complemented with stellar defense to help hold off Northwestern in each of the next two sets.

Senior Claire White led Concordia with 14 kills. Juniors Tiegen Skains and Paige Getz also chipped in 11 and nine kills respectively.

Junior Alayna Kavanaugh had a busy night as she dished out 39 assists while collecting four kills and seven digs.

Thanks to an upset by eighth seed Saint Mary, the Bulldogs will host their semifinal match against Saint Mary at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 11.
