No. 23 Concordia Upset by Morningside

The No. 23 Concordia Bulldogs were defeated at Morningside 1-0 on Saturday, Oct. 10.
The loss dropped the Bulldogs to 8-3-1 overall and 2-2-1 in GPAC.
The Mustangs scored the lone goal of the game in the 71th minute when Amy Samuelson snuck a goal by Concordia’s junior Chrissy Lind.
Despite giving up a goal, Lind made four saves, three in the first half and one in the second.
Even though Concordia put pressure on the Mustangs by kicking seven of their eight shots on goal, Morningside’s goalie Niccole McGuire denied the Bulldogs every time.
Concordia will look to bounce back when they host Nebraska Wesleyan University (7-4 overall, 4-1 in GPAC) at 5:30 p.m. on Oct. 14.
