Second Half Rally by Women’s Basketball Takes Game

The women’s basketball team played Dakota Wesleyan University on Sunday, defeating them 100-72. The Bulldogs were behind at the start of the game by 17 points, but were able to pull through during the second half.
Senior Mackenzie Helman (12) scored the 3-pointer that changed the score from 44-45 to 47-45, allowing the Bulldogs to lead the rest of the game and eventually win.
The team earned a standing ovation from the bleachers when senior Colby Duvel (31) snagged the rebound, allowing senior Philomena Lammers (42) to score a basket, changing the score to 54-49.
This game bumped up the women’s basketball team’s overall season score to 10-1. They play Morningside College on Wednesday in Sioux City, Iowa.
