The Concordia track and field team split up their forces between three meets from April 25-26 with some going to the Drake University Relays in Des Moines, Iowa, a few going to the University of Kansas Rock Chalk Classic in Lawrence, Kan. and the majority of the team going to Lincoln for the Nebraska Wesleyan University Prairie Wolf Invite.

This article looks at the athletes who competed at the Drake Relays and Rock Chalk Classic. For more information on the Prairie Wolf Invite, check here.

Junior Adrianna Rodencal made waves in Des Moines by beating out numerous Div. 1 athletes in the women’s 100-meter hurdles. Rodencal qualified with a time of 13.37, breaking her own record once again and placed sixth in finals with a time of 13.71.

Rodencal also competed in two relays. The women’s 4×400 relay team made up of her, senior Trinity Tuls, senior Isabelle Salters and junior Kayla Kirchner ran a 3:47.33 to take third place and qualify for nationals. The time was also .07 seconds off the school record. Rodencal anchored in the women’s 4×200 relay running alongside freshman Adysen McCarter, Kirchner and senior Emily Loeseke. The 4×200 team ran a 1:41.16 and placed ninth.
