After about two weeks of starting face-to-face instruction on Concordia’s campus, Interim President Sommerfeld sent out an update stating that the Concordia Cares requirements have shown to be promising in keeping staff and students safe.

“Because of the care you show for your brothers and sisters in Christ by adhering to these practices, Concordia will be able to continue conducting our in-person mission together,” Sommerfeld said.

Upon reviewing the mandates put into place by the Concordia Cares program, Sommerfeld also said that the campus will continue to require that masks be worn at all times in buildings and anytime outdoors when social distancing is not possible.

“We will again reevaluate this policy by Sept. 11 and communicate its continuation or changes,” Sommerfeld said.
