Men’s Golf

The men’s golf team placed ninth at the Bent Tree Intercollegiate on Sept. 22-23, which featured strong junior college competition.

Junior Jude Elgert led the Bulldogs with a 31st-place finish. Elgert shot 231 (78-73-80) over the three rounds. Senior Jake Richmond and freshman Logan Krabbenhoft tied for 44th. Richmond shot 237 (81-79-77) while Krabbenhoft went 237 (79-79-79).

The Bulldogs have their final varsity action of the season on Oct. 6, when they will travel to Fremont, Nebraska, for the Nebraska Intercollegiate.

Tennis

The men’s and women’s tennis teams competed at the ITA NAIA Central-West Regional Championships on Sept. 28 in Salina, Kansas.

The Bulldogs were headlined by seniors Nick Velders and Hugo Fuentes, who made it through four rounds of competition on their way to the championship match, which they lost by two sets to one.

Velders individually advanced to the quarterfinals of the men’s open singles tournament. Senior Mariana Molano reached the same stage in the women’s open bracket.

The fall tennis season has concluded and will pick back up in the spring.
