Home Sports Ahlers and Pospisil Lead the Concordia Women’s Golf in Third GPAC Qualifier

The Concordia women’s golf team hosted its first-ever GPAC qualifier on April 13 at Highlands Golf Course in Lincoln. The Bulldogs were unable to maintain their momentum during the third GPAC qualifier and fell back one spot in the conference standings.

Junior Amy Ahlers continued to lead the team as she has all season with an 81, a score that earned fifth place. Ahlers tallied seven pars and two birdies during the meet and now has an overall score of 247 from the three qualifiers. She stands in fourth place overall in the conference.

Sophomore Ashlen Pospisil, also performed well in the third GPAC qualifier. She shot a career low 83 and tied for 11th place. Pospisil now stands at 26th individually in the conference.

Junior Kayla Krueger tallied an 88 on the day to give her 13th place in the conference standings. Freshman Madison Pitsch rounded out Concordia’s scoring with a 127 on the day.

The women’s golf team will continue their season on April 23 in Storm Lake, Iowa, at the Lake Creek Country Club. The two-day event continues into Sunday, April 24 and is hosted by Buena Vista University.
