Home News Breaking News: Monday Classes Moved Online

By Elisha Meyer

Concordia University, Nebraska announced Sunday evening that all face-to-face courses will be moved to online platforms due to extremely frigid temperatures.

The announcement was made to students via email under the CUNEAlert system, as well as various social media platforms. Concordia joins several other schools to call off in-person classes, including the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Students were instructed to check their Blackboard accounts for course assignments and instructions. Administrative offices are expected to remain open to students throughout the day.

A wind chill warning, issued by the National Weather Service, remains in effect for Seward until noon on Tuesday. The Sower is asking everyone to exercise caution and limit their travel throughout Sunday evening and Monday, as such conditions can cause frostbite to exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes.
