A night after taking down the No. 8 team in the country, the Bulldogs returned with a 62-51 win over Mayville State to move to 3-0 on the year.

Concordia jumped out to an early 10-6 lead, but then found itself in a scoring drought as the Comets went on a 9-0 run to capture a 15-10 in the first half.

The Bulldogs then turned their play up a notch and finished the half on a 22-6 run to give Concordia a 32-21 halftime lead.

Early in the second half, Concordia extended its lead to 41-24 before the Comets made their run.

With just over seven minutes left in the game, the Comets had the game tied at 42.

Concordia’s senior Robby Thomas came up with a big 3-point play, which sparked the Bulldog’s offense. The Bulldogs then went on a 13-2 run.

The Bulldogs never looked back from that point on as they coasted to a 62-51 victory.

Concordia was led by senior Jamie Pearson, who finished with 18 points. Thomas and junior Chandler Folkerts also chipped in double-digit points and finished with 16 and 14 points respectively.

The Bulldogs will have a week off before they take the court again. Concordia will host Kansas Wesleyan University at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 14.
